A message from our chairman
Hello and a Happy New Year to all our members, sponsors and supporters, thank you for all your wonderful efforts last year.
2019 marks the start of an exciting season for LCC.

Our first team embark on a new challenge, competing in the Northern Premier League for the first time in the club’s history. Our 4 other teams continue to compete in the Moore and Smalley Palace Shield. We will be looking to be competitive and hopefully successful in all divisions.

An ever-growing junior section see’s many members of our Allstars cricketers progress to competitive under 9’s cricket this season and our older junior members taking the plunge into senior cricket for the first time. We are always on the lookout for any parent volunteers to help us out with our Allstars or junior training sessions, if you would like to lend a hand please do not hesitate to contact a member of coaching staff for details.

We are extremely excited about visitors from down under who will be here on Friday 5th July! The Australian Crusaders touring team will return to Chipping Road for the first time since 2015. The Crusaders have seen many Australian Test and ODI players pass through their ranks and this year brings some outstanding youngsters on tour. The day will feature the main game and a junior coaching session led by the Crusader Coaches.

But before all that we kick off the year with our very popular Valentines’ Ball!
Once again this will be held Ferraris on Saturday 9th February, with great food and live music by Wayne Farrow. Tickets are available now from Tom Haworth. Treat yourself and I loved one to a fabulous night, with proceeds going to the Club.

I look forward to seeing you all this year and once again thank you for your continued support.

Regards
Ian Barton
Chairman
